Senior Precinct Building – The Lakes College

All Data & Communications was contracted to supply and install a 20-year warranty data and communication system. CommScope was the chosen vendor with a Category 6A/Class Ea Structured Cabling System with two 18RU Racks, a total of 145 Outlets.

Backbone connection cabling was installed for connection to the main school network via a 2 x 12 Core OM3 Multi-mode Optical Fibre, 20 Pair Category 3 voice tie.

Part of the contract was also to design and install a fibre networked PA System integrated into the existing system. The building has been designed for the future IT requirements for the students. All the classrooms have installed wireless access points for new routers to connect all devices wirelessly., as well as floor boxes throughout the building so there is always a data connection available.

All Data & Communications was also engaged by the school to install the CCTV camera system and wireless access routers that the school operates which in turn assisted the school with the handover process. This allowed a seamless move in for the school after handover and allowed for the facilities to be used as quickly as possible.
